The mission of the Language Unit is to offer students from the community English courses to develop the foreign language as an instrument or tool to facilitate students' access to information in a global way.
The Language Unit at the University of Azuay is an academic institution committed to strengthening the language skills of our students and the community at large. Courses are offered in Mandarin, French, Italian, Kichwa, and Portuguese, with a special emphasis on English.

The Language Unit, together with Pedagogy students and under the guidance of Master's Degree in Education, Karina Durán, participated in a significant project: virtual English teaching for children in rural schools.

The courses will begin on June 09, 2026 and end on July 06, 2026. Registration will be open from June 01 to 07, 2026 and must be done through the Student Portal.

The Language Unit of the University of Azuay invites students and the general public to participate in the 2026 French and German Vacation Courses, designed to strengthen linguistic skills and promote the learning of new languages in a dynamic and interactive environment.
The courses will take place from June 09th to July 03rd, 2026. Registration will be open from June 01st to 05th, 2026 and must be done in person at the Language Unit office.
